Ivan Afanasyev, known professionally as Fansta, is a contemporary Russian artist whose work fuses bold graffiti aesthetics with architectural structure and refined design. Born in Novokuznetsk in 1989 and based in Novosibirsk, Fansta brings over a decade of experience in urban art, combining calligraphy, character work, and layered compositions to create immersive visual experiences.
Trained as an architect at Novosibirsk State University of Architecture and Design, Fansta’s technical background informs the precision and balance found in his murals and studio work. His art reflects a deep respect for street culture while exploring visual narratives that resonate on walls, canvas, and in digital spaces.
Fansta is a member of respected art collectives including Taknado, BrainMash, and SoldOut, and his work has been exhibited internationally, including at Shamuzzi Gallery in Dubai. From large-scale murals to collectible fine art pieces, his work captures energy, emotion, and movement with a distinctive edge.
